August is Back to Organizing Basics- It Never Hurts to Ask!

Take a few minutes and call your service providers.  Are there cheaper rates available for what you are purchasing now?  Places to call:

• Telephone company- can they offer you a discount, or are there better packages?  Tell them you might switch to having just a cell phone, and don’t need a home phone.
• Cable Company- Many cable companies will lower your rate if you mention switching to satellite.  These reduced rates usually last up to six months or a year.
• Call your dry cleaner, supermarket, etc. Do they offer pick-up or delivery services?
• If your credit is good, consider contacting your credit card companies and ask for a lower fixed rate.  If it’s not, now is not the right time to do that.

Remember, it never hurts to ask!
