Time to run!
I’m a runner and sometimes it’s the only part of my day that I have peace and quiet. However, it’s also the most carefully planned out part of my day. If the brief hour of time window in which I run closes, chances are it won’t reopen for the rest of the day. So that being said I spend every evening counting down the minutes until I need to go to bed in order to get a full night’s sleep. (I yawn as I write this ironically). I then lay out my clothes, fill my water bottle, and make sure I have pre-run fuel on hand. All of this is going into making sure I can leave my home and run three miles. Seems like overkill. However if one thing takes too long, or goes wrong, I’ve lost the time and just won’t feel right the rest of the day.
So the morale of the story is this- if you love something, make sure it happens. I love running. You may love walking, yoga, spending time with your kids, or kntting. Just know that it is going to take some hard work and preparation to make sure it does.
