Pots and pans are one of the biggest items we keep in our kitchens. They are bulky and heavy. Many people keep them in one cabinet, nestled inside each other. They are difficult to grab quickly and use.
I suggest using a pot rack such as the one seen here. They can, of course, hang over an island in the center of the kitchen. However, as you can see here, they can also be attached to a small section of wall that would otherwise go unused.
When looking for a pot rack make sure that the hooks are replaceable in case you lose some. Also, make sure that it will hold the weight of your pots and pans. I love the shelf on this one that allows me to store cook books, bowls and even sugar and flour. By having all of my pots and pans and woks on hand, I can see what is clean, and am much more likely to use all that I have.
Keep lids close by. Use a letter organizer to sort them by size and keep them handy.
