You probably grew up hearing “A place for everything and everything in its place”. Well thats not far off from my organizing philosophy. If you give every item in your home a place to live, you can quickly and easily put things away at a moment’s notice. The picture here is to show you that even common items can be given a place. We use this “quilt rack”to house our throws that we use on the couch and in the living room. My dad make this rack, but you can find similar ones online. Racks like this use a small amount of space and give items a neat appearance as well. Kids can easily return blankets to the rack. A large laundry basket or an enclosed basket can do the same thing for blankets.
Every day, having all family members participate in a quick clean up, that I like to call a “10 Minute Tidy” can return any room to a clean, calm oasis. If you have five family members and everyone participates that almost an hour of clean up time every day in your home!
