Favorite Thing Fridays-Sharpies

Sharpies are a standard at any office supply store.  They have been around for a long time.  However, in recent years they have taken a turn towards cool.  They are available in all sorts of sizes, shapes and colors now.

So why do I love them?  Well they are a great way to sign a note with a bit of flair.  They are a great way to make the outside of an envelope look more festive.  However, they are great for organizing!

Just like the labeler, Shapries allow us to label everything and anything.  In cases where climates present us from using a labeler (such as the cold of a garage or the heat of the attic) a Sharpie can be used and the label won’t come off.

I love to label large plastic totes with a Sharpie.  I put the tote’s contents on the outside of the tote as well as the date I last accessed it.  When I touch the tote again, I cross it off and do it again.  Its a very inexpensive way to label things.  Kids love to use Sharpies too, just be careful as their marks don’t come off.
