Last week I spoke about taking care of yourself to your wardrobe choices.
This week I want to chat about working out. This is yet another area that
women don’t take care of themselves in. So often we put our homes jobs and
families first. However, if you aren’t healthy, or happy for that matter,
how can you be expected to be your best?
If you don’t find the time to work out, you will lack the energy necessary
to accomplish your goals. Kids learn by example and its very important they
learn the necessity and benefits of a healthy lifestyle as early as
possible.
When you are healthy you have more energy and who couldn’t use more of that?
Society often sees us as selfish when we take time for ourselves. However,
working out isn’t selfish, its the opposite in fact. By taking care of
yourself you can better care of those around you.
Stop thinking of working out as a frivolity. Instead think of it as a
pleasure and a non-negotiable task. Working out is no different than any
other required household task. And you wouldn’t skip the dishes or the
laundry would you? So why skip your workout?
As spring is arriving use this time to make yourself a priority and get out
there and meet your fitness goals. More importantly feel great about
yourself and the actions you are taking to be a better you!
