Favorite Thing Friday~Shelves To Go Review

I was recently sent a set of Shelves To Go.  While I travel a lot, I always thought I was pretty organized in doing so.  I have a system and I’ve been sticking to it.  However, I wanted to give Shelves to Go a shot.

I packed them up with my normal travel gear; a suit, some casual clothes and some running clothes.  The fact that it had three shelves was perfect for me.

I was a little concerned with my suit being wrinkled upon my arrival.  While it was slightly wrinkled where I folded it, overall it was much better off than it had been when I was folding it and putting it into another container.

I liked the shelves because I have to take things out of my suitcase.  I wear everything I bring so unpacking is necessary.  However, I hate using hotel drawers for fear that I will leave something behind and fear of bed bugs.  This system allowed me to unpack in a few seconds flat.  I liked the fact that I could get out to the hotel pool faster.

I used the closet rod to hang Shelves to Go.  However, you could easily use the shower rod or really any surface in your room, like the back of a chair.

When I wore something I folded it back up and put it on the shelf.  When it was time to go, packing up took minutes instead of an hour.

I loved the fact that the Shelves to Go system didn’t add heft to my suitcase.  I didn’t notice any difference at all from when I was using other organizing systems.

I also like the sides of the unit.  They are mesh so things can breathe while they are hanging and dirty clothes don’t get too yucky.

Over all, I think the Shelves to Go system is perfect for someone who travels a lot and wants to move quickly.  I also think they are great for kids on the go.  They are notorious for leaving things behind and being difficult to pack for.  This unit makes all of that a thing of the past.
