10 Clutter Free Gift Ideas

December 8, 2011 • Uncategorized

  1. Broadway or Theater tickets make a great gift.  Some theaters offer gift certificates for tickets.  Simply buy a gift certificate and the recipient can pick out the show they want to see.  If you are buying tickets, as a gift make sure the recipient can make the date of the show, the content is appropriate and they can easily travel to the venue.
  2. Theme park tickets.  Tickets are often cheaper in the off-season so this is a great holiday present.
  3. Movie tickets.  Most theaters offer gift certificates good for just about any showing.
  4. Hotel stay.  Who doesn’t love to get away from home, even if it’s just for one night?  Give a loved one the gift of a night away from home.
  5. Want to give more than just a hotel stay?  Give a gift certificate for a bed and breakfast, or an entire weekend’s plans.  Again, make sure the recipient can attend the weekend getaway before you book non-refundable activates.
  6. Spa day or weekend.  Everyone loves to be pampered.  From a one-hour massage to a spa getaway, this is one gift you can’t go wrong with.
  7. Museum membership.  If your loved one has a favorite art museum or someplace they have always wanted to visit, getting them a membership to the museum will afford them the opportunity to visit as often as they want and in many cases, receive a discount on food and products at the museum.
  8. Zoo membership.  This is a great gift for animal lovers!
  9. Restaurant gift certificates.  Everyone loves to take a break from cooking!  Give the gift of a meal or even just dessert!
  10. Airline tickets.  Check in advance on restrictions for scheduling and cancellations before booking airline tickets.  However, this is a welcome gift for someone who needs to get away from home.

There is a saying, “What gets written down gets attended to, and what gets attended to gets done.”

Write down your organizing goals and hold yourself accountable for completing them.

I know it seems like a big chore, but you’ll be glad you did it once you’re done!
