You may have seen some of the new types of do it yourself wreaths out there, but I’m in love with the “Peep Wreath”. Maybe its because I love Peeps or because looking at a wreath made of them can only make you happy just looking at the pretty spring colors and thinking about the sugar content.
The best part is this wreath is super simple to make. First get a straw wreath in any size. They are readily available at craft stores.
Then, wrap it in pretty ribbon. You can use pastel ribbon, Easter themed, white, anything.
Next take the Peeps out of their package. If you are doing an average sized wreath you will need about six packages of Peeps.
Some people find it easier to leave the Peeps out over night for them to harden a little bit. Next, put a toothpick into the bottom of the Peep and insert it in the wreath. Some of my friends have done beautiful patterns and done this very methodically while others have just put them in “willy nilly”. Whatever you prefer, I dare you to not eat at least one Peep while doing this!
