Meditation Cushion Review~ Do You Zafu?

December 13, 2012 • Uncategorized

Meditation is a scary thing to a lot of people.  However, it means different things to everyone.  While I can get philosophical about what it means to me, I want to tell you how simple it can be and how much of an impact it can make on your life.

You don’t need a lot of equipment to meditate.  You need a quiet place, the intention to be still and a cushion, or zafu.  A zafu is a small, round cushion designed for you to sit on.  A zafu allows your legs to sit comfortably and your back to stretch as it needs.

I was able to try out a zafu from Master Zafuist.  Its made of 100% cotton twill.  It has a handle on the side so you can take it with you around the house, etc.  Its small enough to be easy to carry but large enough to be comfortable to sit on.

The zafu is filled with buckwheat hulls, which are substantial but not heavy.

This is the perfect gift to give yourself or give someone else this holiday season.  Its also an amazing way to start the new year!

Take a look at their whole selection here:
