Doggie Safety in The Car with Solvit

I have talked a lot about my dog and products to keep her happy and well fed.  I’ve been getting a lot of questions about traveling with her and I wanted to tell you about something I’ve found that keeps her safe and happy in the car.

The PupZip line is a leash like rope that goes across the top of your car.  The doggie is hooked into it and they can get from side to side.  However, they are linked in so they remain in the backseat.  I love this so my dog doesn’t try to get on my lap while I’m driving (yes, she has tried that many times!) and I can still give her the freedom to roam a little.  I also love that she can see out both sides, I can push her over if I’m adding bags and purchases to the backseat and finally, she can’t just jump out of the car when I open the back door.

The PupZip fits all cars and is adjustable and super durable.  Even if your dog is a chewer!

I also tried out the Pet Front Seat Barrier.  The barrier is made of mesh and mounts to the two front seats.  It prevents your pup from being able to get into the front seat.  It allows you to see into the back and doesn’t prevent airflow.  However, it means that you and the items you’re keeping int eh front seat will be safe from your doggie.  I love using this when I’m on a trip and have food, etc in the front seat.  I can get out of the car and not worry about having to readjust things.  I also love that I don’t get doggie nose prints all over my front window!
