Crystals and You

Gemstones have dazzled with their brilliance and powerful attributes since the creation of Earth, Aside from their beauty and value, they each have sacred meaning and each stone has its own personality. The myths and facts associated with the crystals transcend cultures and continents. Crystal Energy has been used to promote success, health, love, and harmony in our lives. Since rocks that have eroded form sand, it’s no wonder we feel a sense of tranquility when at the beach.

What is a Crystal?

Geology is the study of our Earths history written in rocks and fossils.

Crystals are Earth’s DNA. When you hold a crystal, you are holding part of Earth’s crust. The crust is composed of minerals that produced chemical reactions that formed Earth, as millions of years ago.  At heart of a crystal are atoms that rotate in constant motion.  So while a crystal looks serene, it’s a molecular mass vibrating at a certain frequency thus giving the crystal its energy. Crystals are powerful tools that can increase the vibratory effect on our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Crystals can amplify good energy and absorb or alleviate negative energy. The best way to use crystals is to keep them as close as possible to you throughout the day or night. The closer and more frequent the contact with the more potent the effect.

There are over 200 references to crystals in the Bible. Crystals are mentioned in the Koran and many literary references from Greek Mythology to Shakespeare.

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend but they didn’t start out that way. Diamonds started their history being worn by men in battle or commanding armies. “Diamond” comes from the Latin/Greek word, “adamas” which means unconquerable. The ancient Greeks and Romans believed they were tears of the Gods and splinters from falling stars. Cupids’ arrows were supposed to be tipped with diamonds, having thus a magic that nothing else can equal. Plato wrote about diamonds as living beings, embodying celestial spirits. The Hindus believed that they were created when bolts of lightning struck rocks.

Rose Quartz is a stone associated with the heart chakra. It is the stone of unconditional love and peace. Beauty of all kinds. Said to dissolve one’s boundaries of isolation and mistrust.  Creates harmony and self-esteem. It is said to carry the love of ascended masters.
