We all know that establishing routines with children is a great way to make sure they learn the skill of organization. It’s not the easiest skill to transfer, as it usually represents a challenge for adults too.
I came across Board Dude’s Dry Erase Chore Chart and I really think it can be a useful tool for children and parents. The board is about 11 x 14. Its big enough to be seen, but small enough to be fit into a small place in your kitchen or your hallway.
The board is premarked with the days of the week with plenty of space for various chores to be written in and even for more than one child to use the chart. There are 100 reward magnets to mark off chores that are done. I love the bright colors and way that kids can mark off their completed tasks themselves. The board also comes with mounting hardware, a pen clip and a dry erase marker. The board surface is magnetic.
I also like that the board allows you to save paper and assign different chores every week in order to keep things interesting. The other great part of the board is that you can clearly list rewards at the bottom of the board.
I was also able to try out their Magnetic Dry Erase Calendar Tile. The Dry erase board is already marked with a calendar and its ready to be customized to the current month. I love that it allows you plenty of space to write things into the days of the week. The days are also color coded so you can clearly see each day and week at a glance. The surface of the board is magnetic so you can post a note on it if you want (It comes with a magnet too). There is a dry erase marker and pen clip and mountain hardware.
Board Dudes has a whole line of these “tiles”. You can design your own custom wall organization system with dry erase boards, calendars, memory boards, lists, cork boards, etc. Oh and they look cute too! These are a great way to get a teenager started on organization or a great gift for a college bound student.
