Everyone has wrapping paper and most people have it all over their house. When you have to wrap a gift do you know where your ribbon, paper, and other supplies are? So you have tape and scissors on hand or do you have to hunt them down? Or, do you have to head out to the store for supplies you know you have someone in the house?
There are lots of easy solutions to storing wrapping paper and they don’t have to be expensive!
Use a simply file divider to store sheets of tissue paper, gift bags and tags. These things can get crushed in a traditional wrapping storage.
Install some wall hooks and house wrapping paper in them. This is a great solution if you have an underutilized closet (such as the guest bedroom) and use lots of wrapping paper. The only down side to this is you may need to shuffle the rolls around to get the one you want out. I suggest two sets of hooks; one for birthday and year round celebrations and another for the holidays.
A hanging organizer is a great way to keep wrapping supplies close at hand for those events that come up at the last minute.
My favorite place to store wrapping supplies is on the back of a door. I like using an over the door shoe rack or a pantry organizer. This allows you to store your supplies in a place that would other wise go unused. You also have great visibility of all of your supplies and they are easy to access. Use a door in a room where you can wrap!
Finally, you can purchase a custom cart for your wrapping paper. While this may not be the most cost effective solution you can be use that you will have all of the supplies you need on hand when you need them. Its also the most portable solution.
This is one of the most versatile wrapping organization containers. They fit in rarely used corners. I like to use one for kids’ wrapping, one for traditional wrapping and one for holiday wrapping.

If you have some space on the back of a door, install a rack such as this one. It holds a variety of wrapping pieces and having it close by will help you wrap things before the last minute.
