Coupon Apps

April 17, 2014 • Money Saving/Budget/Coupons/Sales

One of the best things our smart phones can do for us is to help us save money.  I wanted to give you a rundown of some money saving apps so you can pick and choose the ones that best meet your needs.

A woman glancing at a large stack of coupons.Coupons.com gives you access to coupons you can print and take with you to the grocery store.  This is for groceries and household products.  This is a good option if you like brands that rarely go on sale.

SavingStar.com is also for groceries.  However, instead of printing them out, you simply “cut” them digitally and scan them at the store.

Retail Me Not is one of my favorite savings sites.  They have deals on everything from large purchases such as TVs to deals on coffee, clothes and toys.  Always check this site before you purchase something online.  If you enable location settings on this app, it will even notify you when you are close to stores or shopping complexes that are offering deals.

Coupon Sherpa is another one of my favorites.  This app has deals for lots of stores. When I’m in a store and want to buy something, I always check this app.  Common coupons include Michaels, Bath and Body Works and Barnes and Noble.

Coupons

Smart Source not only helps you view the deals but it shows you what’s on sale NEAR you.  This is a great if you’re traveling or you’re looking to stock up for a holiday or party.

Cell Fire allows you the option to choose between printable coupons or digital coupons that you “clip” and add to your store loyalty cards.  This is a great way to make sure you save and can’t forget the coupons at home.

Grocery iq is a little more in depth.  This app works in conjunction with other apps and you can create lists, make shopping plans and even scan barcodes.  It’s a great choices if you’re looking for an all in one solution.

Cartwheel

Cartwheel-Coupon apps have been so popular that stores have started to develop their own branded apps.  Target’s Cartwheel allows users to pick their coupons and then take them to the store digitally to save on their selected products.

Card Star is a lifesaver for me.  This app allows you to digitally add all of your loyalty cards.  No one wants to carry all those around with them.  And when you start using your cards on a regular basis, you’ll be surprised at how quickly your rewards add up.
