I recently received a card from a dear friend. She’s like a sister to me and her son is very much my nephew. I am always asking for photos, artwork and other childhood memories that can be mailed across the ocean. (They live in England.)
So, why is this so special? Well she was so creative with the card I had to share. She took a piece of paper and had her son paint on it. He created a myriad of colors and swirls as a nearly two year old is prone to do.
Then, she took a paper punch in the shape of a flower and punched the artwork. She affixed it to a piece of card stock, folded it and created an amazing birthday card! I wanted to share with you a picture of the card. So very special and instead of a plain card, it’s a keepsake.
So what else can you do with kids’ artwork? Here are few suggestions…
Make their artwork into postcards that you can send to friends and family or use as thank you notes for their first birthday. I love the ones that Moo creates.
Zazzle will create a custom lunch box for you with whatever photo or artwork you upload. What a cute way to have your child display their art every day.
Some stores and crafts people can even turn your artwork into a pillow. These are great gifts, bedroom accessories and keepsakes. This is one store, MeraJeanDesigns,I found that makes these creations on Etsy.
