Here’s my Roxy swimming off the coast of Maine. She’s waiting, not so patiently for me to throw something for her to fetch.
I’m a healthy eater. Okay, sometimes I have french fries (okay, it was today), but over all I like to make sure I know where my food comes from, what’s in it and how nutritionally sound it is. I want to feed my whole family healthy food. After all healthy food, means healthy bodies and minds, which mean more time together and less illness. When it comes to healthy food, I consider my four legged, furry family just as important as my two legged family. Pet nutrition is something pet parents overlook, but it’s hugely important to your pet’s happiness and health.

Here’s Roxy again at the top of a peak in Maine. She loves to pause at the top and look around when we’re hiking.
The truth is that the ingredients in your pet’s food are key to their longevity and quality of life. A healthy pet can run and play. They have a healthy coat and clear eyes. They will also have energy to engage with you, enjoy themselves and stay fit. I have two border collies and good food and key to them being able to run or hike with me every day. Without this activity they are under stimulated and bored. Bored border collies find something to do, which usually means a mess.
Pinnacle® has recently released their first grain-free dog food. It’s made in the U.S.A. (California!) and made with limited, high quality ingredients. It’s a holistic dog food made from things like quinoa, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, sea kelp and cottage cheese. (There are all things I eat!). It’s high in protein and containers antioxidants. (These help your dog’s immune system stay healthy.)
One of my pups has a sensitive stomach. This food is high in fiber so it’s easy to digest and great for those doggies who have sensitivities. The food also promotes healthy joints. (A BIG concern of mine as the parent of two border collies who are super active and can JUMP!).
Next month I’ll be telling you more about Pinnacle and how my dogs loved their food 🙂
