This summer I showed you what I was carrying around with me. What I have with me changes in regards to where I’m going, how long I’ll be gone and of course, the season. This is the “What’s In My Bag?” fall edition. Read on to find out what I’m obsessed with now and what’s in this organizer’s bag.
Please note I received samples of some of these items in order to write these reviews. My opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way. I only bring you items I really use myself.
The first thing you need is a great backpack. The Bathurst Backpack from Knomo is where style meets function. It may be the inner kid in me, but I love a backpack. It allows me to carry everything I need and still have both of my hands free for dog leashes, a coffee or my phone. The Bathurst Backpack has a padded section for a laptop (up to 14”) and additional pockets and compartments for essential daily items, as well as a spacious main compartment. Incredibly lightweight with ergonomic, padded shoulder straps it is a very comfortable backpack in use. The Paddington collection is made from a soft and super-lightweight nylon that is both water and dirt resistant. It holds it structure and features a large diamond stitch pattern and leather trim. Internally, a soft Grosgrain lining is used to both protect and organize. This holds everything I need AND still looks good enough to take me into a business meeting.Read on to find out what I'm obsessed with now and what's in this organizer's bag. Click To Tweet
I don’t want to discuss my age, but let’s just say some of my tougher workouts leave me feeling sore and my muscles tired. I really don’t like taking medications. In comes Aurorae’s Healing Pain Relief Roll On. Made with Arnica, a time honored ingredient to reduce pain, swelling and bruises, it’s a natural remedy to what’s hurting you. It also has aloe so your skin doesn’t dry out. I love the roll on application and the fact that I don’t smell like a medicine cabinet after I apply it. The bottle is lasting me a while, but it’s small enough to fit in my bag.
I never leave home without my phone. I love running with it and I need an armband to be hands free during workouts. However, I also love using an armband during the day for conference calls, ease of carrying my phone or just keeping it close by. I am in love with ArmPocket’s Ultra i-35 arm band. It holds your device with added space for credit cards, cash and more. Its weather-proof, and sweat-proof design will protect your belongings, while the patented ergonomic design will keep you comfortable and in-the-zone. Oh, AND it’s under $50!
Taking time out of your day to look on the bright side is important. In fact, it can be life changing. This little journal from Chronicle Books is perfect to find your inner optimist. Every page has a spot to write down whatever awesome events have occurred in your day. It’s easy to think about everything that went wrong, but it’s more important to think about what’s amazing.
You all know I love coffee. However, there are times when I want something a little healthier. I recently found Organic India’s Tulsi Tea. It’s a relaxing tea with soothing but energizing properties. (I know it sounds hard to believe but it’s true!) The tea tastes great and is full of antioxidants. It’s caffeine and gluten free, Organic, non GMO, and Kosher. Each box of 18 bags is $5.99. If’ you;re offended by profanity, look away. However, if you love a little saucy humor the Fan-Fucking-Tastic note card set from Chronicle Books will make your day. Oh, and they will make the day of anyone you send them too! The formal calligraphy is a contrast to the card’s message. These are adorable, witty and just plain fun to send. I’m sending them to everyone this month.
The Marimekko Journal from Chronicle Books is what I’m carrying now. I always talk about having one place to write down EVERYTHING…to do lists, ideas, notes, etc. Carrying one beautiful book with you will not only allow you to capture everything, you’ll look good while doing it. If something is on paper, it’s off your mind…use a beautiful book like this to help you never skip a beat.
I was recently introduced to a splendid Etsy store called Emerging Energy. She has so many amazing products, but I’m going to share three with you today. The first is her Focus Aroma Oil (she has a Focus balm too). The oil comes in an easy to use roll on tube and is filled with a blend of scents designed to help you wake up and focus on the task at hand. I’ve found that using this and having a cup of tea is an amazing way to get through the mid afternoon energy slump. Her Chinese Lip Mint and Rose Lip tint is like a warm hug for your lips. They feel soft and smooth and conditioned and they also have the healthiest little tint and glow. I wear this lip tint even with sweatpants on 🙂 Finally, the tiniest luxuries can sometimes make all the difference in a day. Pearl Apothecary sells the best flavored toothpicks. They sounds silly, but you’ll change your mind after you’ve tried them. Her toothpicks come in a discreet bottle and the flavors are amazing. My favorite is lemon, mint and basil. They are handmade in Providence, RI too! Check out everything Emerging Energy sells, you’ll want it all.
