So one of the things I’ve very quickly learned is that babies slow you down. I mean this in the nicest way of course, because being babies are amazing. However, there are some tools that can help you keep your mojo and momentum. Here are a few of my favorite things.
Please note I received samples of some of these items in order to be able to write these reviews. My opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way.
Shop Till Baby Naps
Binxy Baby is an adorable shopping cart caddy that allows you to tuck baby in and keep on shopping. I love that it rolls up so it fits in a purse. It’s easy to install and you can put baby in the hammock while in their car seat. This hammock leaves the rest of the cart free for groceries or whatever else you are purchasing (probably diapers). It’s a great way to keep baby calm and contained. The hammock comes in four patterns and can be used by babies up to 50 pounds. This makes a great shower present!
If you’re spending the summer pregnant, like me, and want some comfortable clothes that don’t resemble a camping tent, check out Imanimo. Their clothes are so soft and snuggly that you will want to wear them over and over again. They’re also some of the most stylish maternity clothes you’ll find. I particularly love the Goni Top and Emmie Sweatshirt. The Goni top is so soft and snuggly and forgiving that you will want to wear it again and again. I have done everything from head to work in it, to take a nap. The Emmie Sweatshirt is not only great as maternity wear, the zippers make it easy to nurse in. This is going to become a staple, and quite honestly, you may never take it out of your closet!
If you’re giving your little one a snack or their nightly meal, you’re not going to get any cuter than Boogin Head’s Super Power Pop Dining Set. It’s a five piece set (for under $10!) including a large plate, a small plate, a spoon, a fork, and a cup. It’s dishwasher safe, BPA and PVC free. This will add a little fun to whatever you are serving. (Even if it’s vegetables!)
Boogin Head’s Pack Em’s might be my new favorite snacking tool, even for grown ups. The reusable bags are EASY to seal (unlike lots of the other options out there), and they stay closed. They are cute, durable, easy to wash and hold just enough food for snacking on the go. These are perfect for a day of errands, school lunches, or the office.
If you love the portability of squeeze pouches, but not the cost, check out Boogin Head’s Squeez Ems. They are awesome for snacking on the go, and easy for even little fingers to hold. What I really appreciate is that the cap stays attached so it’s not going to roll under the car seat and never be found again. They are freezer and microwave safe and BPA, PVC and phthalate free. Save yourself money and save the Earth…oh and look cute while doing it!
Healthy Cookies And More Milk
Breast feeding is no easy task. Even seasoned mamas struggle with certain aspects of the process from time to time. Milk supply is one of the most challenging things mamas can face. There are lots of ways to increase milk supply, but none are as yummy as The Cookie Girl’s lactation cookies. These cookies taste like COOKIES, not like they are good for you. A lactation cookie has galactagogues, which are substances that improve milk supply. The main “special” ingredients are brewer’s yeast, flaxseed, and oats. They are available in a variety of flavors for $15/dozen (See below).
