I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted…and it’s been even longer since I’ve written about my favorite things. I’ve been busy on a few new journeys. I’ll be blogging about those soon. In the meantime, here’s a favorite things post to get you through the work week. Enjoy and please let me know what you’d like me to blog about, research and share with you!
Please note I received samples of some of these items in order to be able to write this review. My opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way.
The Droplet is my new favorite thing. It’s so tiny but when you open it up you can fit a whole workout session’s worth of clothes in there. Perfect for a wet bathing suit or dirty laundry while traveling too. It’s awesome for soiled kids gear, and about one million other uses. I love using it for dirty bibs after a feeding or items that have been “drooled on”.
If you’ve been a reader of The Joyful Organizer for any amount of time, you know I love subscription boxes. Well my newest discovery is one of my all time favorites. Hustle Humble is a box of goodies designed for the “girl boss”. It’s full of inspirational, fun, and useful items. The box I received had cookie mix, measuring spoons, a workout tank, and more. It’s like a cheerleader arriving in your mail box every month giving you encouragement. Their blog is pretty darn awesome too. Check them out at Hustle Humble. Oh, and for every box you buy they donate school supplies to a school in need!
As a mom of a soon to be toddler, I’ve learned all about the importance of food pouches. We have them for meal time, snack time, and if you promise not to tell anyone, sometimes MY pre-workout snack. Now these pouches are great for our on the go lifestyle. However, these pouches are an organizational nightmare, especially when you have multiple flavors on hand at any one time. I just found these organizers by BeraTek and they are the PERFECT solution. There are two options…one which displays the pouches side by side and one that allows you to store the pouches in a “deep”storage pattern. These are a perfect way to increase storage inside your pantry, and even to keep things in order inside your fridge. These make a great baby shower gift, or a gift to yourself. I love that these make it easy for kids to serve themselves as well!
Well now that I have a little one I am including some of my favorite baby finds. There are a lot of toys and gear options out there. However, sometimes you find something super special. I love Begin Again toys for fun things that I can’t find elsewhere. And my new favorite toy is their Farm A to Z Puzzle and Playset. It’s made of rubber wood and eco friendly child stains. Each piece has a letter on it, which corresponds with the item it represents; c for cow, a for apple, etc. Even better is that the puzzle pieces fit into the wood tray for easy portability and storage. We actually live on a farm so this was a perfect toy for my little one!
Spring is the perfect time of year to clean out everything in your life. I love taking the time to clean off my desk and all of those notes that accumulate over time. Instead of keeping one zillion Post It notes on my work surface, I like to write my ideas, lists, and thoughts down on paper. I love a great notebook like this one from Chronicle Books. It’s small enough to fit into my work bag, and big enough to hold a lot. The pages are bright and color coded so you can use a different color for each area of your life. This makes a great end of year teacher gift too!
