October Roundup

So fall is here and while it’s not traditional, I love to do a round of cleaning in my home.  It’s the perfect time of year to purge, clean, and get your home in shape for the long winter ahead.  After all, as the days get shorter and colder, you’re going to be spending more and more time indoors.   This month I’m crushing on products that are helping me keep my home fresh and clean….and feel energized.  Want to see what I’m loving?

Please note I received samples of some of these items in order to be able to write these reviews.  My opinions are my own and were not influences in any way.

How To Decorate Without Clutter

The question of how to decorate your home without creating clutter is one I get EVERY YEAR.  It’s also one I struggle with in my own home.  This year I wanted to find some pieces that were adorable, AND functional.  Well, that’s not an easy task.  Well, Martha Stewart to the rescue.  Her new Pumpkin shaped cookie jar holds food (or anything else you want!), AND looks adorable on your counter, or table.  See it here on my kitchen table holding treats.  Okay, and next up is the ultimate in useful decor…pumpkin MUGS!  These are perfect for those chilly fall mornings while drinking your pumpkin coffee.  I’m obsessed with these beauties.  These also make great gifts!

Cleanest Clean

Annie’s Pure And Simple is the key to cleaning and making my home feel fresh and small amazing at the same time.  It’s an all natural cleaner, made up of distilled water, vinegar and essential oils.  Here’s what makes it different that the other all natural cleaners you’ve tried…it works!  It’s gentle enough to be used anywhere in your home, and it’s safe for your whole family.  No more worries about who is touching your surfaces and the chemicals you are exposing them to.  Annie’s Pure and Simple cleaner is available in four scents; lavender, peppermint, lemon, and sweet orange.  I recommend getting one for every room of the house!

Light My Fire

Not all candles are created equal.  I’ve discovered a great new brand, One Fur All.  They are designed just for pet owners.  Made with 100% natural soy wax, they are infused with essential oils and a 100% cotton wick.  The wax is dye free and they last 60-70 hours.  The jar is reusable too!  I was able to try out the Ruby Red Candle and it’s amazing!  You’re going to want a few of these for every room in your home!

Stop And Smell The Lavender

PeaceFelt is the best little air freshener that you can find.  It’s a ring of felted balls, available in a variety of colors.  Each ring comes with a string so you can hang it just about anywhere.  Dab on some essential oils to the ring and voila, you have an air freshener that’s beautiful smelling, non-toxic, reusable and adorable. I put one of these in my closet and one in my husband’s closet, both scented with lavender oil. The scent lasts for some time and you can add more oil as it fades.  I love that you can change scents with the seasons.  These will make a great teacher gift this holiday season or a stocking stuffer!
