Boot season is creeping up on us. At least here in CT, you can tell the cooler days are coming. Boots are an organizational challenge because they take up a lot of room in your closet and they don’t always stay in the same place…I’m always trying to wrangle my boots into behaving and not flopping over in the bottom of my closet. Here are a few ideas and products to help you keep your books in great shape this winter. And if you see something you like, click on it for more details.
IF you have space and you have pairs of boots you don’t wear that frequently, a boot box is a great way to go. This keeps them from getting scratched on the floor of your closet and it also keeps them from getting dusty. I know that I have some pairs of shoes I don’t wear frequently. If I don’t store them properly, I reach for them and when I realize they are dusty, I end up not wearing them at all.
When you come in and your boots are dirty or wet, use a boot try to let them dry off before you put them away. These are inexpensive and come in a variety of colors.
These boot holders make sure your boots are upright and they are paired together at all times. They are inexpensive too. If you have hooks on the wall, you can even hang your boots from them.
This is an idea I saw on Pinterest. Cut a pool noodle and put it inside your boots. They stay upright for you, like magic! Buy the pool noodles before they disappear for the season!
