Product Review: Ziploc Big Bags and Ziploc Flexible Totes

July 10, 2010 • Reviews

Okay we have all heard of Ziploc bags so you ask “why are you reviewing them?”. Because they have new and innovative products out of course!
First let me discuss their Big Bags. Think “sandwich bags for giants”. They come in three sizes, large, extra-large and xx large. Each bag is made of a completely clear heavy-duty plastic. I love these bags for just about everything. When a basket or tote just won’t do or you don’t have the space to store one, these are perfect.
Just a few uses to keep in mind:

  • Linen storage-towels, sheets-keep towel dry and clean during a camping trip or keep the dust off the guest room linens between uses.
  • Art supplies-transport and store kids’ messy art supplies and avoid any leaks.
  • Out of season clothes-keep things neat and dust free between seasons.

The second product I want to mention is their new flexible tote. Also available in numerous sizes (xxl and xl), these totes are durable plastic
formed into a box shape with a zipper closure. Where traditional plastic totes fall short, these pick up. You can easily view the contents of the
tote and it forms to its contents so even odd-shaped items are at home here. These totes won’t crack and break like old-fashioned totes either. I love these for use in kids spaces. Teach kids to clean up, sort and organize by using these, and making labels for them. I would even allow kids to decorate them with permanent marker and stickers.
These are also less expensive than traditional totes and when not in use, simply fold up for easy storage.

You can get your own by visiting your local supermarket or superstore.
