Jewelry Organization

Getting ready in the morning is never easy. For many of us, having matching shoes and socks on is a feat! However, jewelry can add that extra special something to every outfit. The key is keeping jewelry on hand, visible, and in good condition.

You buy jewelry because it is beautiful, right? So why not show it off ?
In my home, I have purchased organizing products that display my jewelry. Visual displays allow your earrings, necklaces, and bracelets to be beautifully displayed while remaining tangle-free. They will also allow you to grab and go without having to hunt items down.

A necklace stand like this one will make sure nothing is ever tangled. This is great for kids too!

What if you don’t want to display your jewelry, or don’t have a place to do so? If you have a drawer to spare, consider purchasing small trays, and filling them with your jewelry. Each item has its own compartment so everything stays untangled, and earrings stay together. They are made of a soft material that won’t scratch your jewelry, and will keep your stuff from sliding around in the drawer. This is great way to use a shallow drawer that is not as useful for clothing.

These trays can be used alone or stacked for more storage. $9.99 at The Container Store

To keep jewelry safe and contained in other areas of the house, such as by these sink, near your treadmill or in the bathroom, use little decorative containers. I love these lacquer boxes. They come in lots of shapes, sizes and colors and are affordable.

Click to purchase. $14.99 at The Container Store. More shapes, colors and sizes available too. (I also love these to hold small items on my desk!)

As with many organizing projects, you will probably find some things you forgot you had. Maybe you’ve even had them long enough that they’re back in style! If you find things you no longer wantdonate them to charity, and you may even be eligible for a tax deduction depending on their value
