Think you can’t get organized on a budget? You’re wrong. Once again I visited the dollar store and found some awesome products. Starting in the top left corner and moving clockwise around:
1. A dry erase calendar (they also has dry erase markers)-This is great for meal planning, homework or even sports schedules. Put it on the fridge where ever one can see it.
2. Dollar Tree had LOTS of baskets. This one was particularly cute. It’s great for craft supplies, office or school supplies, pantry items (snacks!), or even keys by the door.
3. Pencils cups-they had both black and silver. For $1 a piece you can get lots for paint brushes, crayons, colored pencils, markers, and of course, pens and pencils. Also great for granola bars, hard ware organization, or even lipsticks!
4. Mini milk crate-These are awesome for items in kids’ closets-socks, underwear, small shirts, etc. They allow your child to put things away easily and quickly, but they keep things in order. Also great for video games, movies or books.
5. This magnetic holder is awesome for keeping some office supplies around in the kitchen-put it on the fridge and pop in scissors, post it notes and writing utensils.
6. A pack of success charts is a great way to keep your family on task. For $1, this is a great motivational tool!
7. A student planner is great for kids of any age to learn to manage their time and assignments. It’s also great for adults. Make appointments with yourself to do difficult tasks. For $1 you can go wrong.
8. Keep a dry erase board with this week’s meals listed. No one will ask again. Keep a second one on the side of the fridge and write down left overs inside so they never go uneaten. You can also include fresh fruit.
