Finally, a scanner that does it all. Complies data for you, allows you to email and store easily and scan lots of sizes of paper quickly and easily.
I was recently able to try out the Neat Connect scanner. It’s a desktop model that scans receipts, business cards and of course, pieces of paper (will accommodate up to a 8.5 wide piece of paper). You don’t need to plug into a computer, just a power outlet. The screen on the front is touch screen so you can sign into your Neat account, email documents and connect to WiFi.
It’s intuitive to use. I plugged it in, scanned my first document and accessed it in the Neat Cloud within a few minutes. The touch screen takes you step by step so you don’t have to worry about reading a user manual or climbing a steep learning curve.
If you’re looking to get organized in time for taxes, this is your must have tool. And I promise that if you use it all year through, you’ll have a much easier time doing taxes next year!

Like the other Neat models, scanned documents are analyzed in the accompanying software and you can create address books as well as expense reports. This is a great way to get a head start on your taxes, submitting travel and expense reports or even just knowing how much you have spent throughout the year.
While the unit isn’t meant for travel, it’s actually really light weight and it doesn’t need a lot of cords. The footprint isn’t as big as traditional scanners so you don’t need to worry about taking up a lot of your desktop with this.
The Neat Connect scanner is an all in one unit and does everything you need. You can stick a stack of paper in it and it will save it as separate documents for you. It’s a time saver as it’s much faster than MFP scanners.
Not only does scanning reduce paper clutter, it helps you find things when you need them. For example…if you want last year’s tax records…your two options are to sit in front of your filing cabinet and physically look for the papers you need or sit in front of your computer and search for “Tax Documents 2013”. Which one sounds easier to you?
You can order the Neat Connect on Neat’s Website.
*Please note I received a Neat Connect to try out and write this review. My opinions were not influenced in any way and are my own.
