I grew up in a family of teachers and I can personally account to the long hours, thankless days and difficult times. However, my parents were inspired to make a difference in the lives of youth every single day. How have teachers positively impacted your life? Tell me in the comments below!

This is a great supply to have in my classroom
I had an amazing teacher in 5th grade. She inspired me to be who I am today! If it wasn’t for Mrs. Swanson in 5th grade, I doubt I would be a teacher now. I had the opportunity to work with her (she only subs now) and it was amazing! I told her how she impacted me and we both cried.
I have had so many great teachers and hope I can reach my students in the same ways they taught and inspired me.
My father was a teacher, I am a teacher, and throughout my life teachers have inspired me. My favorite piano teacher made an indelible impression on me by helping me to love the process of listening to and playing music. My father and mother (who was an editor, not a teacher) read to me from the time I was very young, told stories, sang songs, and inspired in me a love of words and language. I am not only a teacher but a writer, public speaker, and minister, using what I was taught. My metaphysics teachers have changed my life by teaching me how to interpret my night time dreams, how to meditate, how to concentrate and how to develop my full potential. Yay for teachers of all kinds!!
My grandmother was a teacher and when I was little I used to go into her class and help out grading papers and working with the kids. My grandfather was also a college professor. They both helped change and make a difference in so many kids lives. I knew then that someday I would teach. I have taught pre-k for 4 years and kindergarten for 8 years! I love working with little kids. I love helping them learn to read. I have lots of patience and a passion for teaching.
