Celebrate The 4th with Staples

Summer is here and it’s time to celebrate. Even if you’re taking classes or working through the summer, you can celebrate. Staples has a wide variety of red, white and blue products to help!

Please note I received samples of some of these items in order to be able to write this review. My opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way. I only bring you products I love.

Check out this amazing new red Arc notebook. This is another one of those “why didn’t I think of that?” products. It’s also a “How did I live without this?” product. Staples sent me a sample of their Arc system notebooks. (My opinions are my own and if I didn’t love this I would’t be sharing it with you.)

The Arc system is a DIY notebook. You purchase the style of paper you want, the notebook cover (and back) that you want, and then there are specialty inserts available. I love the list pad and the set of flags. Plastic dividers are also available.

The notebook is put together with a set of rings. You can simply pop the accessories and papers onto the rings. Extra rings are available as well. (In cool colors!)

I do a lot of list making and writing. I have a lot of ideas, blog posts, and projects going at one time, all the time. As things are published, completed or abandoned, I like to tear the pages out. With a traditional notebook, this kind of leaves me with a mess. With the Arc system, the pages come out without fuss. I used the dividers to create groups for my blog, videos, other projects, and lists. I use the small list pad to write down my daily goals.

These are grown up notebooks. They come in a variety of colors and textures. My fave is the Quilted Patent Leather Notebook. It’s 8×11. There is also a 5×8 (approximately) version available, equally as cute. This size also has its own dividers and paper. You can buy these in the store of course, but this is also available online.

I’m a big fan of old fashioned folders, like these blue ones. These are great for keeping important papers together, organized and labeled. I use these for car records, vet paperwork and receipts when I travel for business. Since they are inexpensive, you can recycle them when they get beat up or simply store paperwork in the long term.

Staples’ Better Binder is one of my all time favorite organizing tools. I use them with my clients, in my business and personally. I love them to hold instruction manuals, client paper work, medical records and of course, notes and homework. They are SO durable, they will last a whole school year, or more. They even put up with ME carrying them around constantly! (And I’m TOUGH on binders). Before I switched to Better Binders I was replacing my work binder every 6 months or so. It comes in all sorts of colors (and a few sizes too). Of course, you can find red, white and blue!

Finally, this may seem obvious, but one of the best ways to save time and stay organized, is having what you need on hand. At the start of the school year, or a new job, buy a pack of pens. This way you will have the colors you need and want, and you’re never racing around the house trying to find exactly what you need. I love this pack with red, blue and black in it!

There is a saying, “What gets written down gets attended to, and what gets attended to gets done.”

Write down your organizing goals and hold yourself accountable for completing them.

I know it seems like a big chore, but you’ll be glad you did it once you’re done!
