3 Ways To Make Your Weeknights Easier

October 16, 2018 • Uncategorized

Weeknights are a struggle. You’re tired from a long day at work, the kids have homework to do, you’re trying to prepare a healthy meal, and you need to do it all again tomorrow. So how do you survive the weekday struggle? Here are a few of my secrets.

  1. Crockpot meals. There’s nothing better than coming home to a meal that’s already prepared. Of course, it does require a little prep work on the weekend. You also need to toss it all into the crockpot in the morning and turn it on. However, those five extra minutes in the morning are well worth the investment when you can come home from work and toss off your shoes instead of firing up the stove.
  2. Google Chromecast. Okay, I know you’re asking how this makes my nights easier. Well, once I have a snack in my hands and we’re ready to sit down and watch the evening news, or a movie as a family, all I have to do is tell my TV, “Ok Google, play Moana from Netflix on my living room TV,” and it DOES-hands free, easy peasy, no remotes required. There’s nothing better. Google Chromecast allows you to watch movies, shows, live TV, YouTube, and photos streaming on your TV from all of your family’s devices. Find out more.
  3. Prep for tomorrow. While you’re tired and really just want to sit with your feet up, spending a few minutes getting ready for tomorrow will help you have a better morning. Don’t go crazy here just start with the basics; lay out your clothes, prep lunches, run the dishwasher, maybe swap the laundry to the dryer, and have your kids pack their backpacks. Think about all of the things that cause you to run around in the morning, and try to do those the night before.
