DIY Peppermint Body Scrub

Amazing body scrubs don’t have to break the bank. They are seriously easy to make. The ingredients are things you have on hand in your pantry. This takes MINUTES to put together and it feels amazing.

You’re going to need;

1-2 cups sugar

1/2 cup coconut oil

Peppermint oil

Food coloring (optional)

These things were really easy to gather from my pantry and bathroom cabinet. I measured them out, so the amount you see here are accurate. Melt the coconut oil in for a few seconds to soften it up.

Mix the sugar and coconut oil together well. If you need to add more sugar to get the consistency you are looking for, add it slowly. Then, add about ten drops of the essential oil. I used peppermint but you could use any scent you’d like. Add food coloring one drop at a time and mix well. I picked pink to represent the peppermint. However, you could omit the coloring all together.

To make this more of a presentation, I put this in a glass jar (I had it on hand), added twine and made a washi tape flag. I used a Sharpie to write down what was inside. This makes a great gift for someone who isn’t feeling well or needs a little pampering. The sugar scrubs dead skin and the coconut oil soothes and moisturizes. I like to use this in the shower.
