I’m super guilty of the easy ponytail and go routine. Recently I let my hair get VERY long and was doing nothing with it than putting it up on a haphazard knot with three elastics. Yes, three elastics. I decided that I would hold myself accountable for doing something with my hair every day. Even if it was a ponytail, it was a conscious effort.
So, I got about 8 inches cut off my hair and it immediately was earlier to care for. I only had to use one elastic and the hair was faster to wash, dry and style. I reached out to the pros to see what they would recommend and use to come up with an easy styling routine. I wanted to give you some tools and ideas of things you could do as you’re racing to get the kids to school or even just working from home.
The T3 Micro Featherweight Hair Dryer came up again and again. It’s pricey, but I can say, it’s worth it. The super light weight design is easy to use and to hold, even at odd angles as we all do while drying our hair. I owned a blow dryer before, but NEVER used it. It always left my hair frizzy and never got quite dry enough it seemed. Or I was just impatient. This dryer has every feature you’ve been looking for. Your hair actually looks better after having tried it thanks to tourmaline. It is QUIET too. You don’t feel like you’re in a wind tunnel when using it. Another awesome feature is the 9 foot cord. No more need to be stuck right next to the one outlet in your bathroom. It dries your hair super fast, so you’ll be out the door in no time.
I’ve had a Mason Pearson brush most of my life and I’ve always loved them. They are amazing gems that feel great to use, and leave your hair shiny and conditioned due to the natural bristles. Again, pricey, but you’ll have it for decades (seriously).
If you’re hair is flat and needs a little umph….try Alterna’s Texture Spray. It’s an easy to use spray that adds texture, and a little something to your hair without forming clumps or creating a sticky mess like some hair sprays. It’s a great way to “do” your hair without doing much at all.So if you need a little touch up or want a little curl, the Artizen MyStyler Iron is your go to piece. It’s small enough to travel with easily. You can even put this in your purse or work bag for touch ups throughout the day.
