The Holidays Are on Their Way

September 26, 2008 • Holiday Organization Tips, Holiday Organizing Tips

Although fall is just officially upon us, the holidays are just a few months away.  This is a great time to start thinking about them!

Start by making a list of everyone you will be buying a gift for.  Be sure to include a few extras for neighbors, co-workers, the mail carrier, etc.

Next divide the list into small, manageable chunks.  Take a small portion of the list each week and buy those presents.  If you happen to find a gift perfect for someone on your list before “their week” has come up, buy it anyway.

Don’t forget to schedule time to buy cards, wrapping paper decorations!

There is a saying, “What gets written down gets attended to, and what gets attended to gets done.”

Write down your organizing goals and hold yourself accountable for completing them.

I know it seems like a big chore, but you’ll be glad you did it once you’re done!
