Healthy Lunches with #HillshireNaturals

September 1, 2014 • Kids, Kitchen Organization, Promos, Recipes, Reviews

**Please note this is a sponsored blog post by HillshireFarms.  However, my opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way.**

We all know that lunch meat is an easy and fast option for feeding our families.  However, we all know that it sometimes has some not so great stuff in it…nitrates, caramel coloring, etc.  Hillshire Farms recently came out with an all-natural version that contains none of the nasty stuff you don’t want to eat and still tastes amazing.

I found it in the lunch meat section of Wal-Mart’s super market side.  It comes in a great re-sealable plastic container.  So, all you have to do it take it home and you’re ready to make lunches.  Bringing your own lunch to work and sending your kids to school with one saves money AND allows you to eat healthier.

I like that I don’t need to make a separate stop in order to buy this.  I’m already at Wal-Mart for school supplies, household items and toiletries!

I also like that I can pick up a Hillshire Farms Naturals and keep it in the fridge for after school snacks and even last minute dinners. They taste great and with turkey for the adults and ham for the kids, everyone is happy.

I like to make little snack containers and label them so everyone knows to help themselves.  A few pieces of turkey breast, a piece of mozzarella cheese and some grapes….it’s fast, healthy, AFFORDABLE and delicious!  And, when I can grab and go I avoid hitting the pantry and binge eating a bag of something I shouldn’t.

Another great snack I like to make the kids are “yummy rolls”….roll up some cheese and turkey breast (or ham) and then cut it into bite size pieces….healthy and kid friendly sushi 🙂  Want more ideas and inspiration?  Visit Hillshire Farm’s Pinterest Page.

The Hillshire Farms naturals is affordable too.  It’s much less expensive than other all natural lunch meats on the market.  Where I bought it (Maine) it was $3.48 per container.

Wal-Mart had both Hillshire Farm’s Naturals Turkey and Ham.
