Pampering yourself doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Sometimes, you really can find an amazing product at the drugstore. I know that all too often I think that the higher the price, the better the product. Johnson’s sent me some samples and I tried them out, only to find that these are some hidden gems that you can buy inexpensively at your local drugstore. Here are a few of my favorites to share with you….
Hand and Face wipes-These are perfect for after the gym or a yoga class. They clean your face and hands (and get rid of germs) without leaving a sticky residue like some other wipes I’ve tried. They smell good too and the pack fits easily into my workout bag. These are SO much cheaper than some of the other wipes I’d been buying!
I could write an entire blog post about Johnson’s Baby Oil. However, I will tell you that it’s awesome for taking off eye makeup, washing makeup brushes and (my favorite) shaving. Use it instead of shave gel and your legs stay smooth and soft, plus, it’s a lot less expensive than buying canned shave gel!
Johnson’s baby bedtime lotion has become part of my night time routine. I do love all of my buttery lotions, but the lavender scent of this one really helps me relax and calm down from the day. My husband loves the scent of it too!
I have long hair. And often, I throw it into a knot at the top of my head for spin class or yoga. BUT, this results in real knots and messy hair. I tried out Johnson’s no more tangles, (the stuff meant for little kids) and I’m impressed. It softens my hair, tames flyways and gets the knots out. This is a great touch up tool for after a rough workout, before I can shower and restyle. And it’s under $5 at my drugstore. That’s a serious bargain.
In the winter, when my skin is really dry, I have a hard time keeping it moisturized and comfortable. I started using Johnson’s baby oil gel when I got out of the shower (on damp skin) and it not only feels great going on, but my legs stay moisturized all day. I don’t have to reapply later in the day and my skin shows no sign of flaking. A winter must have!
Baby Powder is another product I could write an entire blog post about…it’s an all time favorite. But did you know you can also use it for; pet grooming, to get sand off of kids, dry shampooing, shoe odor, waxing pain and more? Neither did I 🙂
Everyone loves a band aid that makes them smile. Did you know Johnson’s sells band aids with Muppets, Monsters Inc and more on them? Awesome for kids, grown ups and as stocking stuffers!
