December 30, 2015 • Home Organizing Tips, Paper and Office Organizing

The New Year brings with it lots of new beginnings.   One of my favorite new beginnings, is a new planner. It’s a great time evaluate what style of planner you like and recommit to using one to keep yourself on track.  Here’s what I’ve selected for the year ahead…

Planner and AccessoriesThis year I’m going to be using the LifePlanner from Erin Condren.  This planner not only has an adorable and inspiring outside, but plenty of room inside to stay organized,  keep track of the day’s events and the weeks and months ahead.  The cover is durable so it will last all year long.  I love the colorful pages, organizing tabs and the bookmark that keeps my place.

I love using multi colored pens when planning my week’s activities.  I give each type of activity its own color.  For example, customer appointments are blue, my husband’s commitments are green and personal appointments are red.  Sakura’s Micron Pigma pens are my favorites.

I always keep Stay Well-Kept’s wipes in the back of my planner.  They are perfect for my phone, computer Wipes and stickersscreen or even glasses in a pinch.  The pack holds 15 wipes, but is still thin enough to fit easily in the back of a planner.  Check out all their adorable patterns!

I like to give myself a little pep talk every day.  I love Quotable’s offerings.  I recently found some amazing stickers by them at Papyrus.  These are perfect to make any planner prettier and a little more fun.

Planner and ElasticThe elastic used to hold pages together while in my bag was made by me.  If you’d like a tutorial on how to make one, check it out here.

This is another unnecessary item, but I love Jet Pen’s Panda planner stickers.  Not only are they too cute for words, they allow you to have a quick visual representation of the day’s events.

There is a saying, “What gets written down gets attended to, and what gets attended to gets done.”

Write down your organizing goals and hold yourself accountable for completing them.

I know it seems like a big chore, but you’ll be glad you did it once you’re done!
