Sweet Treats For Valentine’s Day

February 2, 2016 • Gift Giving Tips

We all know you can buy chocolates or flowers for Valentine’s Day.  However, these are predictable and not very useful.  I wanted to set out to give you some unique ideas of things to gift, give, and treat this Valentine’s Day.  These are gifts for everyone in your life from teachers to your partner…and everyone in between.

Please note I received samples of some of these items in order to be able to write this review.  My opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way.  I only bring you things I love.

Valentine's Day Gifts

Sea Bag Wristlet

Sea Bags has created yet another delight that is going to make your Valentine squeal with delight. This wristlet is decorated with hearts and anchors.  It’s the perfect combination of nautical and sweet.  I love this as a Valentine’s Day gift because it’s useful and can be used for years and years to come. (I’ve had Sea Bags for a long time and I have yet to wear one out, despite constant use.)The wristlet is perfect for a phone, lip gloss, cards and keys.  It can be used on its own or as an organizer inside of a gym bag, work bag, or purse.  I keep mine stocked with a few necessities like wipes, lip gloss, and a phone charger and transfer it from bag to bag throughout my day.  You’ll find a million uses for this little gem.   It’s affordable, meaningful, and environmentally friendly.   Sea Bags is one of my all time favorite brands for products, accessories, and organizing tools.  Check out one of my previous posts about them here.

Carmex

Carmex is an all time favorite in my house.  Their new line, Moisture Plus, has all the benefits of tradtional Carmex but it comes in adorable, limited-edition, patterned containers.  They are small enough for a pocket but cute enough to be seen on your desk.  I love the vanilla scent and the moisturizing feel that lasts and lasts. My husband has been known to steal these from me 🙂  They have SPF 15 in them too!

Cherry Lovers Candies

Looking for a fun and unique candy that’s also DELICIOUS?  Try Gimbal’s Cherry Lovers candies.  They are beautiful in a bowl, awesome to gift to kids, but oh so sweet and amazing for adults.  I put them in a bowl on my table and they look as good as they taste!  While these are perfect to gift, I doubt you’ll want to give them away (I didn’t!).

Awesome Box

Awesome BoxI can’t give you super hero powers, but I can give you super hero status.  Awesome Box is going to make   you the best gift giver on the face of the planet.  Each box comes with 25, 50, 75, or 100 cards.  Each card can be customized on both sides with a message and or photo.  You can select photos from your computer of course, but you are also hooked right into your Facebook account to select photos from there.  Each card can hold up to 700 characters so you can really put some amazing things into words.  Here’s my favorite part about Awesome Box….you can invite other people to collaborate on your box….they can then access the site and add cards along with their own messages and photos!  This is a personalized, thoughtful, and unique gift that only you can give.  It’s perfect for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, or just because!  Use code LOVE for $10 off and free shipping!

côte Polish

I love nail polish and I think it makes a great gift.  Not only is it consumable, it shows the recipient you want them to take time for themselves.  Self care is important and sometimes giving someone the tools is also giving them permission to relax, even just for a little while.  What I love about côte polish is that it’s a “five-free” polish blend that is made in the united states, cruelty–free, vegan, FDA approved and free of the five major toxins associated with nail polishes: formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), toluene, camphor and formaldehyde resin.  The bottles, which are adorable, are crafted from Italian glass and feature a top–of–the–line brush, allowing for even strokes and effective application.  The colors are vibrant and the results are beautiful.  Oh and all of their orders shop for free!

Hada Lobo Face Masks

Another way to pamper your love is to gift them with Hada Lobo Face Masks. These gems can make even the most tired skin feel refreshed.   They are moistened and all you need to do is apply them to your clean face.  Let them sit for about 10 minutes, or a little longer.  Then, simply peel them off and throw them away.  Tap in the rest of the moisture.  There’s no messy rinsing or wash up afterward.  These are perfect right before bedtime to allow you to relax and let your skin hydrate.  Your eyes are the windows to your soul, so make sure they look good!

Chalk Ink

Write your Valentine a sweet message on any metal, window or of course, chalkboard with Chalk Ink pens.  These are available in a variety of colors and they are super easy to use.  Let the kids have some fun on a window to celebrate the holiday.  Don’t worry, it comes off with regular cleaner.  These are a great way to write yourself notes, shopping lists, and reminders too!

Kismet Cosmetics

If you’re looking for something sweet and pampering to gift this Valentine’s Day, take a peek at Kismet Cosmetics.  They’ve assembled a series of kits just for the holiday.  There are three kits available.  The first kit contains four homemade bath bombs.  The second kit adds on a pink or led lipstick.  The third kit continues to add on with a body bronzer.  This is a great pick me up during these cold winter months.  This kit allows the recipient to take some time to care of themselves and their skin.  The bath bombs smell AMAZING and the lipstick is just the pop of color you need to add to the sweaters and scarves of winter.  It’s affordable, super sweet, and beautifully appointed.  I suggest ordering one for yourself as well.
