I’m so excited to be thinking about summer. It feels as if it’s been a long time coming this year and they everyone is ready for a little more fun, and some longer, warmer days. Here are my five favorite items for summer….they are simple, affordable, and, (I promise), fun!
This post was sponsored by SwimWays as part of an Activation for Influence Central. I received products to facilitate my review.
Sun Tea
Sun tea. Everyone loves ice tea. I think there’s nothing more fun and throwing some tea bangs into a pitcher of water and letting the tea brew in the sun. There’s probably nothing REALLY different about the way the tea is brewed, but I’m convinced that the sun adds a little extra something to the taste that makes a simple glass of ice tea, something special.
Ice Pops
Ice pops. This is something I remember from my childhood, but I never outgrew. There’s nothing more delicious than a cold frozen treat on a warm day. You can buy them pre-made, but I think there’s nothing better than the ones you make yourself. Use whatever juice or mixed drink you have the in fridge. Get creative and get the kids involved!
Pool Toys
Pool Toys. A beautiful pool is the most inviting thing you can see on a summer day. No one can turn down a dip, or some time on a pool toy. The SwimWay Pool Float Recliner is the toy your whole family will be fighting over. It has a backrest, headrest, cup holder, and ottoman. The mesh allows water to get to you and keep you cool, but you’re still supported in the water. There’s not air pump needed to inflate it, so this is perfect for summer travels camping or to the beach! It even folds flat. The recliner has plenty of room to relax, read, nap, or enjoy a drink…you’ll need more than one, because everyone is going to want one! You can find the SwimWays recliner at Wal-Mart. No need to hit a speciality store when you can buy this at the place you are already doing your weekly shopping! Because I’m expecting this summer, I am thrilled for a little comfort and support, even in the pool. We camp during the summer and I usually don’t bring water toys because they are bulky and problematic to inflate. The spring in the SwimWays recliner makes inflation, use, and folding super easy.
