My dogs are fussy. They won’t eat any old treat. However, year after year we have BLUE Santa Snacks® under the tree and they are not only a favorite, they are a tradition. I love treating my dogs with something I can feel good about giving them. Giving them a special treat during the holidays makes them feel like part of the family. After all, goodness knows I’m eating all kinds of goodies!

Treat Yo’ Pup
Blue Santa Snacks are baked with holiday spices like cinnamon, which makes them special for the season. They are full of good stuff for your pup and wholesome ingredients like oatmeal, pumpkin, flax seed, and barely. Their shapes make them even more fun and whimsical. What’s missing? Artificial colors, preservitives, and flavors. Buy the treats at Target, Meijer, Kroger, Pet Smart, Regional Retailers, Chewy.

Share The Love
This year, I wanted to come up with a way to share the love with some friends, family and neighbors. Here at The Joyful Organizer, we love gifting to our four legged family and friends just as much as their human counterparts. Like everything we do, we try to be clutter free. So, in coming up with a way to hold treats, we decided to make it decorativeAND useful and we created a treat ornament! These also make a great doggie stocking stuffer!
Here’s what we used:
Plastic ornament balls (can be found at any craft store in various sizes)
Washi tape (available in a wide array of thicknesses and patterns)
Crinkle paper (I bought mine on Amazon)
Most importantly: Blue Buffalo Santa Snacks. Find them here: https://tap.fit/rkOvcYUJG
Step By Step
All you have to do to create this adorable treat gift is to add a little crinkle paper, then drop in a few treats. Seal up the ornament tightly and make sure it’s closed. Then, seal the edges with washi tape. Trim them to fit the ornament. Finally, cut a piece of ribbon for hanging. Add a gift tag if you’d like!
Pass It On
The ornament is ready to be hung on a tree and because the treats are so cute, they are their own decoration for the holiday season. When the holiday is over, or when your pup can’t stand the wait any longer, simply peel off the washi tape and let your pup gobble the treats up! I’m warning you, these are going to be a big hit. These are great for teacher gifts as well as hostess presents. Overall the craft costs about $5 to assemble and takes about 10 minutes. You can create endless variations by changing the washi tape, ribbon or color of the crinkle paper.
